Henrietta Jowitt - Deputy Director General, Commercial - CBI

Henrietta leads the Commercial team and is a member of Exco. She develops and implements the CBI’s commercial business strategy in collaboration with her Exco colleagues. In particular, she is responsible for developing the group’s membership proposition, leading the CBI’s regional teams across the country in sales and member engagement, the organisation’s digital strategy, and creating new products and services for Members with a focus on supporting and enabling their businesses to grow.

Henrietta has 30 years’ experience in developing and implementing business, marketing and general management strategies.

Henrietta has held a range of senior leadership roles, including Group Head of Marketing, Strategy, Business Development and Investor Relations at an executive management level within a FTSE 100 financial services business, Schroders Plc; a major private equity firm, Advent International; a professional services firm, Cushman & Wakefield; and within the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry (FMCG).

Henrietta has an MA in Natural Sciences from Oxford University and also completed the Oxford University Business School Advanced Management Program for Senior Executives. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and is an FCA approved Non-Executive Director. She is a Non Executive Director of Newton Investment Management and Chairs their RemCo. She is on the Board of Trustees of Opera North, and a Board member of the Strategy and Advisory Board of the British Standards Institution.

Henrietta is married with 4 children and is based in both Yorkshire and London.
