James Timpson is Chief Executive of Timpson, a family retail business based in Manchester, UK.

Timpson has been in business since 1865 and trades from 2,113 shops across country, comprising of 1,292 Timpson outlets. The company turnover is in excess of £250M and is extremely fortunate to employ over 5000 amazing colleagues.

James works closely with the prison service to identify potential candidates have the right kind of personality to make it on release, working within the business.

James' passion and enthusiasm for business, people, his team and the wider community was recognized in the Queen's Birthday Honors List in 2011, when he was presented with an OBE for ‘Services to Training and Employment for Disadvantaged People'.

Employing 103 people at its facility in Coventry MWB provides precision machining services for more than 40 global customers, primarily in the oil and gas sector.
