Sir Mo Farah Confirmed as Headline Speaker of the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards

30 October 2018

Britain's greatest ever distance runner, Sir Mo Farah, will be the headline speaker at this year's Lloyds Bank National Business Awards, which will take place on the 14th November at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

The multiple Olympic, World and European Champion will address over 1300 of the UK's business leaders and influencers as part of an overarching awards programme, which will continue the theme of Best of British Ambition. Mo will take part in an on-stage conversation and audience Q&A, which will be hosted by Naga Munchetty of BBC Breakfast.

Speaking ahead of the event, Mo said: “I'm really looking forward to talking at the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards. Whether it's on the athletics track or in business, drive, focus and determination are key to success and we all have to be prepared to work hard to achieve our goals. I can't wait to swap stories with the guests at the event!”

Mo will share his personal story of how he became Britain's greatest ever distance runner – which is no mean feat, coming from humble beginnings in Somalia and arriving in England aged just 8 and with very little spoken English. His ambition has played a big role in his success, as he rose through the junior ranks, before setting multiple British and European records as a senior.
